TY Social Work Experience in Spain

2-week programme of volunteer social work experience in Granada, Spain

Community Care 

A key objective of Transition Year is to promote maturity on a social and personal level, as well as in relation to careers. 
Our 2-week programme will develop:

- work-related skills volunteering with non-profit associations in the local community of Monachil (Granada)
- personal maturity by providing opportunities to develop communication skills, self-confidence and a sense of responsibility
- social maturity by developing greater ‘peoples’ skills and becoming more aware of the world outside school

Volunteer work

Students will gain insight into:
- lesson planning for bilingual education outside the classroom environment
- event organization helping to coordinate activities for local associations
- product branding with a local producer and film-maker

And students will have the opportunity to help the local community learn English through the power of play with the local Bilingual Association of Monachil: story-telling, arts & crafts, educational games, organised outdoor activities and much more ...
